Yale Science Scholars Program
The
Yale Science Scholars Program seeks to promote the academic
development of promising students through engagement in original scientific research.
The
Yale Science Scholars Program provides support
for a summer research experience under the supervision of
a Yale faculty member. Applicants are expected to have demonstrated
exceptional potential and commitment through their coursework
and prior research experience, and to present a well-developed
proposal for a research project with substantial pedagogic
and scholarly merit.
Award
recipients will perform research for 8-10 weeks during the
summer of 2010, and will participate in summer and academic
year activities of the Yale Science Scholars Program,
including journal clubs, seminars, symposia and dinners.
Eligibility

Awardees will normally be selected from among currently enrolled sophomores and juniors, though exceptional applications from freshmen may also be considered. Applicants may be pursuing a degree in any major
offered by Yale College, but must be proposing research in
the natural or applied sciences. Research must be supervised
by a member of the Yale faculty (including the Graduate and
Professional Schools), and will normally be conducted at Yale.
