While
most Yale science and engineering undergraduates will perform
research or engage in engineering and design projects in association
with a Yale faculty member, others may wish to explore extramural
opportunities as a complement to their Yale experiences. The
Director of Undergraduate Studies or a faculty advisor will
be able to recommend and facilitate contact with appropriate
programs in research institutes, corporations, national laboratories
or other universities.
The
following non-comprehensive guide to extramural research opportunities
provides links to information describing some of these opportunities.
Many sites that have not yet been updated for summer 2008
may nonetheless provide useful contact and programmatic information.
