News from the Yale Russian Chorus
April 20, 2008: That's a Wrap!
Congratulations to the Yale Russian Chorus for another great season of performances. Our last concert at Center Church on the Green Parish House with the Yale Slavic Chorus brought in many people, including our very own alumni (e.g. Ilyana and Nick). We would like to thank Center Church on the Green for hosting us and the audience for coming over and listening to our final concert of the season.
The Yale Russian Chorus will return in the fall for another year of performances. If you have any inquiries regarding the fall season, or if you would like to host any of our next year's concerts, please contact Stephen

March 16, 2008: YRC returns from the Bay Area
We would like to thank everyone involved-- the chorus, the tour organizers, the people at our concert venues, and gracious homestay families alike-- who made this year's Yale Russian Chorus Spring Tour in the San Francisco Bay Area an unforgettable experience. We would also like to extend our appreciation to some of our recent YRC alumni who came out to see our concerts, including former YRC presidents Gary Gregoricka and Alice Chen. Though it is sad to see another tour done, we are already excited to plan next year's tour.
[3/22 Update: Pictures from our tour are now on the YRC website. Please check them out in our gallery!]

February 17, 2008: YRC at UConn
Our first concert of the spring season was at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center (University of Connecticut) and they held a nice reception following the concert. We were even graced by the presence of a Orthodox bishop! We would like to thank the University of Connecticut for hosting us today and to our gracious audience. We hope to visit UConn again soon!
December 8, 2007: Annual Dwight Hall Concert Draws Crowds
What can I say? Tonight's Yale Russian Chorus Concert at Yale's own Dwight Hall (as is tradition) was a great way to end the fall season. Despite competing with various other concerts happening that same evening, we still managed to draw up a crowd united in a common appreciation for Slavic secular and sacred music.
October 28, 2007: First Away Concert in Ansonia
Our first fall concert (and our first concert for many of our new members) at the Three Saints Orthodox Church in Ansonia, CT went extraordinarily well. We were introduced by bells and a very excited audience. After our final blessing "Mnogaya Leta," the audience was led to sing their own version of that blessing. Afterwards, we were praised by the Church congregation and our artistic director "Dr. Bailey" was given an honorary icon in appreciation for all his work with the chorus. We then chatted with parishioners and the audience in our post-concert reception downstairs. In any case, we hope to sing there again for years to come!
September 4, 2007: Another Year Beckons!
Welcome, class of 2011 and other potential auditioners to the Yale Russian Chorus (YRC)! We have had many great choral years and hope this year will be no exception. Get excited for the new year, everyone! We have many concerts planned around the area, as well as a spring break tour out on the ever glorious West Coast. Auditions will be held soon for any interested member of the New Haven community. E-mail Helen
for an audition.
Please excuse us as we perform maintenance operations to prepare the YRC for the 2007-2008 season.
