75th Anniversary Schedule

Since its founding in 1934, the Yale Political Union has been a fixture on Yale’s campus. Through war, recession, protest and controversy, the Union has survived as an enduring intellectual force on campus and in America.

The Yale Political Union Alumni Association is pleased to announce that from October 23rd through October 25th, 2009, the Alumni Association will be hosting an anniversary gala to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Union’s founding.

Highlights and Full Schedule:

•   Debates and toasting sessions with the seven parties of the Yale Political Union.
•   Guest lectures by some of Yale's most esteemed professors: Charles Hill, Donald Kagan, David Bromwich '73, '77 PhD and Jane Levin '75 PhD.
•   Alumni and student debate, where generations of Union members come together and debate the tough issues of the day.
•   A gala dinner celebrating the Union's history with guests such as journalist Peter Beinart '93, historian Richard Brookhiser '77, and opening remarks by Yale University President Richard C. Levin '74 PhD.
