


I am from Monterrey, Mexico, part of the first group of exchange students to be accepted at Yale University. I am an Economics major interested in finance, globalization and public policy. My interest in global affairs has led me to several APEC Summits in the past. As well, I have been involved in numerous leadership summits in my hometown and I am engaged in social community service as an English tutor. I am a passionate tennis player and have a special love for all types of desserts.

I am an international student majoring in international business from Tec de Monterrey. I am originally from Tampico, but I currently study at Yale as part of the Y-VISP program. I am also passionate about the study of cognitive science, traveling and taking long walks at the beach.
I am from Guayaquil, Ecuador. I am a junior and my major is Economics. I currently live in Mexico and I love the country and its people.

I am from Saltillo, Coahuila and I am in the 3rd year of the International Business major. My biggest passions in life are traveling and dancing. I come from Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas and I am a senior majoring in International Relations. I am very happy for being in the brand new Yale Visiting International Students Program. I am a junior majoring in International Relations at Tec de Monterrey campus Mexico City. Since last semester I have been studying at Yale as part of the Y-VISP and I will graduate the next spring. I enjoy talks abouts Politics, organizing events such as Convergencias 2012 and doing social service. Some of my main interests are Human Rights and Public Policies.

I am a senior in the Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology department at Yale University who is very passionate about tropical medicine research as well as infectious diseases research. In the near future, I aspire to enroll in medical school in order to continue saving lives as well as impacting thousands of lives both domestically and abroad.

I am PhD candidate in Political Economy and will be graduating this May. I'm originally from Mexico City and have been working on the intersection of Economics and Politics since studying my undergraduate degree in Economics at ITAM.
I am a Fox International Fellow at the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. I am originally from San Luis Potosí. I’m carrying out the research for my Masters Degree thesis, which is called “Legislative Coalitions in Multiparty Presidential Systems: Comparing Mexico and Brazil. I’m interested in Comparative Politics, particularly in comparative institutional design in Latin America.

I was born in Mexico City. I study urban corruption in Mexico and I am concluding a Ph.D. in Political Science.

I received my MD and MBA degrees from Tec de Monterrey, and currently I am a first year Psychiatry Resident at Yale. This year, Convergencias has a Health panel for the first time. I hope you enjoy it!

I am Fellow and Visiting Professor at Yale University for the Council on Latin American and Iberian Studies at Mac Millan Center. My home town is Monterrey and now I’m in my sabbatical doing research and expecting to publish a book: “Governance and Democratization: Challenges for Political, Economic and Civil Society Actors”. I’ll be teaching in the Yale College Seminar and Yale Summer Session: “International Human Rights and Politics”
