Among the things to be discussed include our plan of action, e.g., invite speakers, create a mission statement, etc. Mission Statement Yale Medical Republicans is a student organization founded by students of the Yale School of Medicine. Our goal is to get actively involved in shaping the future of our Health Care System. We want everybody to have access to the best possible medical treatment at an affordable cost. We believe that it is imperative for physicians to retain complete autonomy for the sake of their patients. We reject any intrusion into nurses' and physicians' decision-making power by HMOs. We are open to all postions on the abortion issue. Our viewpoints are often less stringent than Party doctrines. We invite everybody - regardless of political orientation - to join our efforts in shaping a Health Care System that thrives on freedom and excellence.
