Shadowing Program

Confidentiality

No information of a patient should leave your shadowing experience, including names or any other identifiable information. Such information is considered strictly confidential. Knowingly abusing these confidentiality rules can be punishable by law. Additionally, no information that may pass between the physician and student should be shared with others. Patient rights of privacy and confidentiality must be maintained on all levels.

Patient privacy is paramount! By being allowed to shadow, you must respect your new-found responsibility to confidentiality.
