YMUN Grand Strategy
Chair: Ilan Szekely, ilanszekelylevy@yale.edu
Crisis Manager: J.T. Kennedy, John.Kennedy@yale.edu
Committee Size: 10-12 Delegates
Committee Structure: Delegates who are accepted to this committee will receive regular committee specific preparation material from the time of acceptance. However, they will not be informed of this committee’s nature and topic until one week before the conference.  It is designed for delegates with the most Model UN experience.

All the committees at YMUN XXXV are designed to have our delegates learn about and practice international relations through the lens of Model UN. YMUN Grand Strategy has been included to take the YMUN learning philosophy one step further, and have strong MUN delegates challenge their diplomacy skills. We have chosen not to reveal the committee nature at this stage because we do not want you to learn just about a single committee or organization. The focal point of MUN is not to impart information and structures you can just as easily learn in a book or on a website. Topic matter has not been disclosed at this early stage because this committee is designed to gain insight into decision-making and perception, not necessarily the factually or politically correct decision. How are political decisions made? How should they be made? And how do our individual and collective perceptions affect our decision-making? These are relevant questions no matter who you are, or whom you are representing.
