Yale Health Online (YHOL) is an electronic medical communication service that is tailored to the needs of Yale Health Plan members, where a few clicks of your computer mouse can help you manage many details of your medical care.

How to Register for a YHOL Account

  • Connect to the internet and open internet browser
  • In the address box, type www.yalehealthonline.yale.edu
  • Click the link that says First Time Registration
  • Complete the brief registration form – be sure to enter your information correctly and select a user name
  • Click the Submit button at the bottom of the form – that’s all there is to registering for an account
  • You will receive a password notification via email within 48 hours – please note this is a one-time use password
  • Upon first login, you will be asked to change this password to one of your choice
  • YHP does not have a record of the password you select

How to Use YHOL

Yale Health Online expands your communication options, allowing you to contact YHP at your convenience about a range of non-urgent matters:

  • Use the Front Desk to request, cancel or reschedule appointments and to update personal information
  • Use the Consultation Room to post secure non-emergency messages to your health care team, including requests for medication information and test results
  • The process of using YHOL is simple and confidential; unlike regular email, this web-based system is totally secure and complies with all federal privacy regulations. Best of all you can ask questions and receive responses anywhere and any time you can log onto a computer.

YHOL Technical Details

Yale Health Online is best viewed using Netscape version 4.06 or higher and Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.02 or higher. This will assure 128-bit encryption.
