Lab test and lab results
YHP uses Quest Diagnostics for laboratory services. You may have your testing done at any of their locations in Connecticut or at YUHS’ on-site lab located within our 17 Hillhouse Avenue facility. Occasionally, a clinician may ask you to have lab work done prior to your appointment. Please allow approximately 30 minutes before your appointment for the lab work to be completed.
Availability of test results varies. Blood work is usually available within 1 to 3 working days. Results for skin biopsies usually take one week. Test results will be communicated to you via telephone, mailings, Yale Health Online and through our clinical staff.
