PEP volunteers serve as tutors in local prisons in Connecticut, preparing inmates to get their General Equivalency Diplomas (GEDs) or helping them explore creative outlets like writing or art. Volunteers develop relationships with their mentees over a period of several months, working with them for about three hours a week.
