New Haven Cares
New Haven Cares works to publicize and sell vouchers to other students, so that these vouchers can be distributed to panhandlers on the street. They cost 50 cents each, and can be redeemed at Shaw’s, local pharmacies, bus stations, homeless shelters, and elsewhere. However, because they cannot be used to purchase drugs or alcohol, they ensure that donated money is put to good use and facilitate healthy giving.
Purchase some vouchers to keep in your own wallet, or get involved as a seller and educate your peers.
