YHHAP’s fundraising project organizes and directs a diverse array of on-campus and off-campus fundraisers to gain donations from the Yale, New Haven, and national communities. These donations are used to alleviate the immediate effects of homelessness through supporting YHHAP’s No Closed Doors office, other YHHAP service projects, and a variety of vital soup kitchens, shelters, and non-profits throughout New Haven.
In the fall of 2010, the fundraising project helped run the Shelter Now campaign to provide funds to shelter every man, woman, and child in need in New Haven during the winter.
In the spring of 2011, the fundraising project will choose a worthy organization and raise funds on its behalf. (In the spring of 2010, the fundraising project supported the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen and Columbus House.)
