    The YHHAP Book Exchange is a fundraiser designed to reduce textbook costs for Yalies, raise money for charity, and make Yale a greener, more sustainable campus.

    Every year at Yale, thousands of coursebooks get thrown out or left unwanted on bookshelves and in storage boxes. The YHHAP Book Exchange hopes to change that, so more of these textbooks and course packets can be reused by other Yalies.

    We collect unwanted textbooks and course packets and offer them back to Yale students at reduced prices—we currently offer books at 50% of their cost at the Yale Bookstore. Yalies save money on textbooks, and all the money we raise help shelter women and children in New Haven.

     The YHHAP Book Exchange Store is located in the Bingham basement under Entryway A. We will be open this Thursday, 1/17, for the spring 2013 semester! Textbooks and course readings for popular classes go quick, so come by early!

  The Book Exchange is an entirely student run organization and depends on donations of textbooks, course packets, or any other books you might have! Last semester, we raised almost $10,000 which will go towards helping local charities.


    If you have any books you would like to donate, you can bring them to us during store hours, email us your room number and we can pick it up, or put them in our collections boxes at the end of each semester.

               


  You can search our collection of over 2,500 books here. To find out the in-store price of a certain book in our catalog, just click on the title name and under the green section labeled “Quick Links”, click Amazon and the selected edition. All prices will be half of the Amazon price.


All books in the store are organized by author last name, and if you have questions about the availability of a certain book, please come to the store prepared with the author last name.

    We prefer payment by cash or check, but we will accept payment by credit/debit card (Amex, Mastercard, Visa, or Discover).
