Applicants are invited to apply for a post-doctoral position at the YaleCenter for Astronomy and Astrophysics to work with Dr. Meg Urry on active galaxies and the co-evolution of galaxies and black holes, as well as to pursue their independent research program. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in physics, astronomy or related field, and experience with multiwavelength data reduction and analysis is a plus.The initial appointment is for one year beginning as soon as possible, renewable for up to 3 years depending on performance.

The new YaleCenter for Astronomy and Astrophysics offers a stimulating scientific environment, convenient to New York City and Boston.Yale faculty are involved in many extragalactic programs, including the large multiwavelength surveys MUSYC, COSMOS, GOODS and Palomar-QUEST. Yale astrophysicists have access to premier observing facilities including the WIYN and Chilean telescopes (through the Yale-Univ. de Chile collaboration).
