has received an honorary doctor of science degree from Tufts University

• Priya Natarajan awarded the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation
Fellowship. Memorial Foundation awarded 180 Fellowships to
artists,
scientists, and scholars. The successful candidates, among them Priya
Natarajan,

NASA announces 2009 Astronomy & Astrophysics Fellows, Washington -
NASA had selected fellows in three areas of astronomy &
astrophysics
for its Einstein, Hubble and Sagan Fellowships NASA (Feb. 2009)
• Shanil Virani awarded a Chambliss Medal and Certificate at the
January
AAS Conference. “The Astronomy Achievement Student Awards are
given
to recognize exemplary research by undergraduate and graduate students
who present at one of the poster sessions at the meetings of the AAS.
Awardees
are honored with a Chambliss medal and a certificate.”(Jan. 2009)
