About

"Business of Biotech" is an evening non-credit, week-long seminar designed to give non-textbook information about starting companies. Back for its seventh incarnation, BOB7 is taught by Constance McKee, Yale MBA, co-founder and CEO of Manzanita Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Previously she was the founder, President & CEO of Asilomar Pharmaceuticals, and Chief Executive of Cambridge Quantum Fund I at Cambridge University. Constance is a co-founder of a nonprofit group that supports bioentrepreneurs in the San Francisco Bay Area, BioE2E . Constance recently published her citizen's plan to add 200,000 jobs in small bioscience companies at www.biotechjobsforamerica.com.

The seminar runs four evenings, March 30th - April 2nd from 6PM-8:30PM at the Yale School of Management.

During the first hour Constance reviews basic concepts like business plans, business models, term sheets and financing strategies for life sciences companies. During the second hour speakers will address key decisions in their business. Speakers this year include executives of small biotech companies, specialty pharma, big pharma and venture philanthropy. Everyone in the Yale, YBPS, and Industry community is welcome.
