Yale Toastmasters in Action

Yale Toastmasters have opportunities to use their leadership and communication skills outside of the regular meeting rooms. Below are some examples of Yale Toastmasters in action, demonstrating their talent and work in the Toastmasters International program.

Toastmasters International Speech Contests

Every year Toastmasters International Divisions and Districts hold speech contents where local Toastmasters share their talents. A local club competition provides the opportunity for one Toastmaster from that club to compete in the Division contest. Last Spring, 3 Yale Toastmasters stepped up to demonstrate their talents, in an effort to be the representative for Yale Toastmasters at the District 53 - Division D contest. Here is a sampling of their work:

And the winner is... our very own Bill Miranda

Bill MirandaBill Miranda has taken Toastmasters to its limit, participating in many of the local, district and division contests. Last Spring, he placed 1st in the 2008 Division D Speech Contest. This led him to the District 53 Tall Tales Speech Contest where Bill's talents won him 2nd place amongst a group of other fellow Toastmasters.
