Yale Graduate Music Symposium - travel information

Driving
Driving directions can be obtained on the Yale Visitor Center's website. The first day of the conference will be held in the Sterling Memorial Library Lecture Hall (130 Wall Street) and the second day will take place in the Whitney Humanities Center Auditorium (53 Wall Street).

Train
It is possible to take Amtrak, MetroNorth, or Shore Line East trains to Union Station (map). From the train station, it is only a short taxi ride to most places in the city. The number for Metro Taxi is (203) 777-7777, and the number for New Haven Taxi is (203) 877-0000.

Flying
If you are arriving at one of the local airports (JFK, LGA, Newark or Bradley), you may wish to take the Connecticut Limo service to New Haven (www.ctlimo.com, (203) 878 2222). Selecting "Yale stops" on their website, or requesting them by phone, will allow you to be taken directly to Phelps Gate, on the Yale campus.

It is also possible to take a bus from Newark, JFK and LGA airports to Grand Central Station in New York and then take the train to New Haven. The bus ride lasts approximately 30 minutes. New York Airport Service provides connections from JFK and LGA (www.nyairportservice.com) and Newark is serviced by Newark Liberty Airport Express (http://www.coachusa.com/olympia/ss.newarkairport.asp).
