Final Compositional Project (15%)

Each student will create a piece of original music using and extending the tools and techniques learned in the class. This project should be of publishable quality, stereo composition assembled in Logic Pro 8. The component materials should be created using at least three of the following software: Frequency, Wave Editor, ReCycle, RadiaL and/or Reason. The project should demonstrate a clear understanding of the various dance styles. Combining sections written in various styles or creating a track in one particular genre is fine. There are no aesthetic criteria for the project. However, creativity will be highly valued. This composition should not exceed 4 minutes and must be approved by the instructor.
