Portlets
A portlet is a rectangular area of YaleInfo pages that acts much like a small window to hold news, tools, or other YaleInfo content. Each portlet has a title bar, and various icons for controlling the size and behavior of the portlet.
One obvious difference between portlets and regular screen windows is that portlet do not scroll. To see more content in a portlet, use the maximize button in the right of the title bar to make the portlet area larger. When you are done with the portlet content you can use the minimize button to snap the portlet back to its normal small size on the page.
To add new portlets to your pages, use the “Options” pull-down menu at the right of the YaleInfo header and select “More content.”
Note that you can browse lists of portlets by clicking on the portlet content categories on the left side of the “More portlets” box, or you can click the “Search” tab at the top of the “More content” box and search for a particular portlet by name or keyword.
