September 2009: A new home page aimed at faculty and staff users
As of September 28, 2009 Yale faculty and staff users of the portal will see a new "Home" page specifically designed to support new University systems that will be coming online as part of the YaleNext program. The new home page features:
- An expanded set of navigation links to major University sites and web resources.
- A news section with stories sets specifically tailored to faculty and staff audiences.
- A new "toolbox" area with links to support your Yale benefits and tools to support your role at Yale.

May 2009: A significant technical upgrade for the YaleInfo portal
In May 2009 the portal application and the servers that support the YaleInfo portal were substantially upgraded. These behind-the-scenes technical upgrades were designed to increase the overall performance and reliability of the YaleInfo portal, in preparation for substantial new academic and administrative content and features coming later in 2009 and in 2010.
About the YaleInfo portal
This latest version of the YaleInfo campus portal was launched in May 2009.
The YaleInfo campus portal was first launched in 2003, and significantly revised in 2005 and 2009. YaleInfo is based on the open-source uPortal 3.1 technology. Yale University is an active member of and contributor to the JA-SIG uPortal development group.
