Logging in to YaleInfo
YaleInfo uses the Yale’s Central Authentication System (CAS) to verify the identity of users. Applications like Webmail, the Facebook, and classes*v2 all use CAS, so authorized users can access these services with just one login. When you first visit YaleInfo, you will be see the guest view with a single “Home” page. From the guest view, click the yellow “login” button in the upper right corner to enter the portal using your standard Yale NetID and password.
Logging out, and protecting your privacy
When you finish using YaleInfo, you should log out by following the “Log out of CAS” link in the header. You will be taken to the CAS log out page.
- Log out when you are finished using YaleInfo so others cannot access your personal information.
- If you are at a public terminal, be sure to close the browser window in addition to logging out, so other subsequent users of the public machine cannot view information cached by the browser.

To maintain the security and confidentiality of your information, always be sure to use the orange “Log out” button. This is particularly important if you are working at a public cluster machine or shared computer.
