The new YaleInfo Home page for faculty and staff users
Staff and faculty users of YaleInfo will see a new "Home" page designed to present a secure and personalized set of "toolboxes," campus news, and general Yale web navigation links. The contents of the home page are customized differently for staff and faculty users.
Unlike other pages of the YaleInfo portal, the contents of the Home page are now fixed, as the Home page will quickly become the focus for new tool links, as well as a major vehicle for communicating messages to you based on your role at Yale (faculty or staff). The fixed portlets assure that all users see a consistent set of information and tool links, as these major new systems and tools come online in late 2009 and through the winter and spring of 2010. The new "Toolbox" systems arriving soon will include:
- An online benefits portal that will allow you to customize your Yale benefits
- New tools for tracking your benefit time and paid time off
- Tools to customize your tax information and direct-deposit information
- Online paycheck stubs and payroll information
- A time-tracking tool for staff members
- iExpense tools for tracking expenses and travel
- Other tools specific to academic grading and course administration
These new systems use the YaleInfo portal as a convenient and secure starting point that already knows your identity (through your CAS login) and something about your role at the University. Thus Yale can provide you with increasingly powerful online tools and services personal tools while safeguarding your privacy and the security of Yale's academic and business information.
