Using email in YaleInfo
Yale community members whose email accounts are in the Central Campus email system can use the YaleInfo portal to read email. YaleInfo is not a substitute for your usual email client application or Webmail site, and probably best used as a means to monitor your email inbox while accomplishing other tasks in YaleInfo. However, you can read and respond to email right from within your YaleInfo pages. At this time users in the Medical Campus email system cannot read email from within YaleInfo.
Because central campus Webmail, SIS, Classes, and the Facebook all use CAS, YaleInfo can make all of these resources available to users with just one login to YaleInfo.
The “Recent E-Mail” portlet shows your ten most recent emails. If you'd like to read a message or respond to one, simply click on the message to open it in Webmail.
You can use the "Add Portlets" link to add the full Webmail portlet:
- Click the "Add Portlets" link in the upper right corner of the page
- Click the "ITS" item in the "Categories" list
- Select "IMP Email" from the list
Please note that pages that contain the ‘IMP email’ portlet may take a few seconds longer to load.
