The audition will consist of a ballet barre and center, jazz across the floor, and short jazz and modern combinations (don't worry, we don't expect you to be an expert in all of them!) Please bring appropriate dance clothes and shoes - ballet shoes if you have them. You may also wear pointe shoes for the ballet section if you wish (though this is by no means mandatory or even recommended). Please make sure to come on time so that we can give you your audition number!

Auditionees will be notified of their audition results soon after the auditions.

Sorry, this probably makes auditions sound scarier than they really are... Just come ready to dance, have fun, and show us why you want to be one of the newest members of YD!

Information Session & Activities Bazaar

An information session for interested dancers will take on Sunday, September 2, 2012 in the Jonathan Edwards College Buttery (YD company members will be around to direct dancers to the correct location), during which we'll be introducing our current members, answering general questions about YD, and showing videos of past performances. Stay tuned for more details about the time and location!

The information session is a great way to learn about Yaledancers, so if you're at all interested, we'd love to see you there! We'll also be at the Extracurricular Activities Bazaar earlier that day, from 12-3 pm on Sunday, September 2, in Payne Whitney Gym. There you can sign up for our email list and meet some of our current members.
