Role: Oversees all aspects of Web design and development for Yale College. Coordinates planning and implementation of new and existing Web projects for Yale College clients. Establishes web design and functionality standards. Works with the Director of IT Planning and Coordination to provide strategic Web solutions for Yale College. The Director strategically plans and implements Web development at Yale College. The Director collaborates with the Dean and upper-level management on matters of Web strategy, and develops and maintains relations with client offices. He supervises the activities of YCWS staff, especially in regard to day-to-day support of client operations. The Director anticipates imminent advances in Web technology, manages contracts with outside design and programming vendors including ITS; and oversees YCWS’s budget, administrative and office practices, hiring, and human resource contacts.

Role: The Web Editor provides editorial coordination in the planning, development, and maintenance of Web sites to meet the needs of client offices. The Editor organizes Web content provided by client organizations; creates and edits content; implements a publishing schedule for updates to online content and published materials; and serves as a liaison to offices in Yale College. The Editor participates in the development of a coherent Web strategy for client organizations, developing and observing editorial, stylistic, and technical standards appropriate to the needs of the client, Yale College, and the University.

Role: The Web Designer develops and maintains Web sites to meet the needs of Yale College academic and administrative units. The Designer builds Web sites that observe the stylistic and technical standards of the client, Yale College, and the University. The Designer assesses technical and programming needs of clientele and coordinates specialized Web programming initiatives with in-house programmers or programming consultants.
