The DeVane Lectures

The DeVane Lectures are a special series of lectures that are open to the general public as well as to students and to members of the Yale community. They were established in 1969 in honor of William Clyde DeVane, Dean of Yale College from 1939 to 1963. The next set of DeVane Lectures will be offered in fall 2007. Joseph Roach, the Charles C. and Dorathea S. Dilley Professor of Theater and professor of English and African American Studies, will offer "World Performance." Details can be found in the course listings in chapter IV under DeVane Lecture Course. Supplementary meetings will be held for those students taking the lectures for credit.
