Course Selection
Fall-term classes begin on Wednesday, September 2. You must file your schedule for the fall term on Tuesday, September 15. You may thus defer your final decisions concerning courses until you have had a chance to visit classes and to consult instructors and other advisers. In some departments, fall-term seminars restricted to majors may have been filled during the spring preregistration period. In some cases, however, you may be able to enlist the aid of the instructor or DUS in entering such a seminar. If you see a limited-enrollment course (designated by a star) in the 2009–2010 YCPS that you would like very much to take, it would be wise to speak directly to the relevant DUS asking that you be enrolled in the course or that your name be placed on the waiting list, if there is one. |

You may also attend the first meeting of a limited-enrollment class so that you will be available to fill the place of any preregistered student who has decided not to take that particular class.
