Course Packets
Many instructors prepare packets of readings and other course materials for distribution to their students. In gathering and copying such materials, instructors are expected to adhere to any relevant copyright law and to the fair use provisions that may govern the use of copyright materials. Instructors are responsible for seeking permission (or having RIS or the selected copy shop seek permission) when fair use is exceeded. For advice on copyright generally or on making the determination of fair use, instructors should consult with the Office of the Vice President and the General Counsel.
Instructors are asked to request double-sided copies from the copying services in order to conserve paper.
