Online Syllabi

The course syllabus informs students about the scope, procedures, bibliography, and examination or paper requirements of a course. The syllabus should also convey the instructor's expectations about academic integrity. Suggestions for appropriate plagiarism warnings are available on the Writing Center Web site under the heading "Addressing and Avoiding Plagiarism." Copies of a course's syllabus are usually made available at the first class meeting and are kept on file for student reference at Bass Library. Yale offers students the option of viewing online syllabi on the Academic Media and Technology (AM&T) instructional computing server.

The Classes*v2 server automatically creates sites for all courses listed in the registrar's system. Instructors are encouraged to log on to the Classes*v2 server to post syllabi and other course materials. For assistance consult the online help or e-mail classes2@yale.edu.
