Course Changes after the YCPS Deadline

After the YCPS goes to press, course information is still updated for listing in online systems. The Registrar's Office prepares Course Verification Lists on which late changes should be recorded. A preliminary printout of courses in the YCPS is made available to each department about July 1 for fall courses and about October 15 for spring courses. The printouts, with corrections, additions, and deletions, should be returned to the deputy registrar, 246 Church Street, by the date indicated (usually a week later).

A list of courses coming into the curriculum too late to have been included in the YCPS should be sent to the deputy registrar with the Course Verification Lists. For those courses that have been offered previously, the year in which they were last offered should be indicated, so that their course descriptions may be reproduced in the online supplement. Also, the current Credit/D/Fail decisions of instructors should be indicated. For new courses being offered for the first time, the deputy registrar will extract the necessary information from the Course Proposal Forms that have already been submitted to the Course of Study Committee.

Changes in course data occurring after the cutoff date for either Course Verification List are continually available through the online interface with the Banner course file. To ensure that the official record of course offerings and classroom use is accurate and complete, the DUS is expected to keep the deputy registrar informed about all changes in course data.
