Defining Yale SponsorshipYale sponsorship is defined as one of the three following situations:
Group Travel with Yale Sponsorship (Registered and Non-Registered Groups)Registered Group Travel Policies governing undergraduate University-sponsored travel for registered student organizations, faculty-led initiatives and other group travel.

Non-Registered Group Travel
- In order to receive funding, ALL participants in group travel must be registered in the International Travel Database.
- All students seeking credit or funding for activities abroad must complete a Student Acknowledgment and Release Form on which they specify that they have checked the U.S. State Department and MEDEX.
- Any undergraduate organization that conducts meetings periodically or sponsors activities on the campus of Yale University, that provides a service, or that raises funds within the University for charitable or other purposes must register with the Yale College Dean's Office. Registration is an annual requirement. Please consult the Official List of Registered Undergraduate Organizations for confirmation of your group's registration status in Yale College.
- Student organizations not eligible for registration in Yale College (see Appendix D, Manual for Registered Undergraduate Organizations, of the Undergraduate Regulations) are asked to contact the Center for International and Professional Experience with questions about travel preparation and logistical matters.
