Yale College provides students with many opportunities to engage in intellectual inquiry abroad through Yale-sponsored programs and non-Yale programs. Opportunities are available for term time and summers, many of which offer full Yale credit and financial aid transfer.

   research

Many Yale students spend the summer following their junior year abroad doing research for a senior essay or thesis; projects also include directed research, independent study, and laboratory work.

   internships

Yale’s Undergraduate Career Services has established major programs in 16 cities around the world that provide opportunities to explore career fields in an international environment, with support and oversight from Yale and from alumni networks.
