Mathematics

Freshman-level calculus courses include MATH 112a or b, Calculus of Functions of One Variable I; MATH 115a or b, Calculus of Functions of One Variable II; and MATH 120a or b, Calculus of Functions of Several Variables. If you wish to take one of these courses, you must complete the online mathematics advising examination described below. Placement at an appropriate level will give you the best opportunity to succeed in a calculus course. AP exam scores are important for placement, but they are only crude indicators of preparation. The advising examination helps the department make a more accurate judgment about the course best suited to your experience. |
