Mathematics

Students planning to elect MATH 112a, 115a, or 120a are expected to preregister for sections on Tuesday, September 1, from 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in room 432, Dunham Laboratory. Before preregistering, all students planning to take one of these courses must take the online Mathematics placement exam. A printout of the examination and the score should be brought to preregistration.

Students who wish to take a higher-level mathematics course are urged to seek placement advice from the DUS or at the preregistration session. Students who are considering taking Math 230 or Math 250 might like to take the calculus placement quiz to check that their calculus skills are still sharp.

The Mathematics department will participate in the Academic Fair on Tuesday, September 1.
