First-Day Checklist

* Pick up dormitory keys and identification cards. Students living on the Old Campus may obtain keys and identification cards outside Dwight Hall until 5 p.m. and at Phelps Gate after 5 p.m. Students living in Timothy Dwight or Silliman College may obtain keys and identification cards at the master’s offices of those colleges.

* Attend the freshman registration meeting at 8 p.m.

* Review the schedule of meetings and events. Note especially the departments that require a placement examination or preregistration. See Departmental Meetings.

Parking Lot Shuttle Bus

On Friday, August 28, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., parents may park at no cost in Lot 16, Lot 22, or Pierson-Sage Garage (entrance to all three on Whitney Avenue at Humphrey Street) or in the Prospect-Sachem Garage (next to Ingalls Rink).

A shuttle bus will make the round trip continuously from the parking lots and Pierson-Sage Garage to Timothy Dwight College, Silliman College, and Phelps Gate on the Old Campus. Due to construction on Prospect Street, the Blue Line bus will be used for the Prospect-Sachem Garage. You may pick up the Blue Line at the corner of Prospect and Sachem Streets.

Commercial parking lots and garages are also available on Grove Street (near Whitney Avenue), on York Street (near Crown Street), on Broadway (near the Yale Bookstore), and at the corner of College and Crown Streets.
