Association of Native Americans at Yale (ANAAY)

The Association of Native Americans at Yale (ANAAY) is a student-run cultural organization at Yale University designed to celebrate, educate, and appreciate Native American culture and history. ANAAY is devoted to the establishment of a Native presence on Campus. The group works towards Indigenous cultural awareness of the Yale Community with a Native perspective through panels, speaker programs, and other events throughout the year.

Bio: Dinée is a Master’s Aide for Ezra Stiles College, Recruitment Coordinator for Yale Admissions, powwow dancer and singer in Blue Feather Drum Group, member of the Yale Precision Marching Band, assistant editor of the Yale Undergraduate Law Review, and sports writer for the Yale Daily News. Apart from ANAAY, she loves sunshine, country music, and basketball.

Bio: Reed is a writer and performer in the Red Hot Poker sketch comedy group, a leader of the Blue Feather drum group, a staff member at the Native American Cultural Center, and committed to life in his residential college. A poet and performer, Reed actively contributes to the theater and literary communities at Yale and abroad.

Bio: Chris is an involved member of the community and also serves as treasurer of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society. He is a Peer Liaison for the Native American Cultural Center, member of the Davenport Pops Orchestra, Yale Precision Marching Band, Club Geo, Instrumental Connections, and conducts independent healthcare research. In his free time, he studies the Navajo Language through Yale's Directed Independent Language Study and discovers dinosaurs with the Paleontology Department.

Bio: Rose is a member of Blue Feather Drum Group, Jonathan Edwards College Intramurals, and Danceworks. She works to implement writing, singing, running, playing ukelele, and cultural activities into her daily life, all while maintaining a positive outlook. She is an advocate for animal rights, environmental rights, and indigenous rights.

Bio: Sebi serves as the leader of Blue Feather drum group and is a house staff member at the Native American Cultural Center. He's also involved at La Casa Cultural and is a staff writer/blogger for the Yale Daily News. Outside of school, he's an amateur chef and a kung-fu movie enthusiast.
