Alumni
Dear Alumni,
Thank you for visiting us! Whether you graduated 10 months or 10 years ago, you’ll see it’s never too late to reconnect! As you wander through our website, you’ll see that we’ve been busy these past years. Alumni involvement has never been so exciting and we hope you can take a part in it. If you’re truly feeling out of touch or want a refresher on what we’ve been doing, take a moment to look through the “History of Latino/a Alumni at Yale.”
We encourage all of you to register through our website so that we can connect with you. (Insert link to registration form here.) You can also join several other web based social network groups that have been established by Latino alumni. Here’s a list of groups that might interest you:

- The Yale Latino Alumni Association of the Tri-State Area (YLAA-TSA) facebook group. This group is used to advertise events and opportunities hosted by the YLAA-TSA that serves New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Yale Latino Alumni Prize information
Awarded for Commitment to the Latino Community and
Academic Excellence at Yale
Established May 2002
Prize Description: Latino students at Yale
have given their hard work and their hearts to
the Latino community on campus since they were
first admitted to the University. Some members
of the class of 2002 felt that this hard work
and dedication deserved to be not only acknowledged,
but also honored and rewarded. In the hopes of
making that desire a reality these alumni have
come together to create and raise money for the
first annual Latino Alumni Prize. This prize
is designed to honor two Latino graduating seniors
who have shown an outstanding commitment to the
Latino community at Yale while maintaining a
high level of academic excellence during their
time as undergraduates at the University.

Yale Latino Alumni Association (YLAA) Interim Board
The YLAA Board was established in November 2007 to bring together various efforts that aimed at organizing a national alumni association for all Yale Latino alumni. These efforts have been brought under the YLAA and the Interim Board is actively working to organize and institutionalize the YLAA as both a coordinating and operating entity. The Board receives active support from Association of Yale Alumni, La Casa Cultural, Yale College Dean's Office, and the Yale Office of Development.

Yale Latino Alumni Association of the Tri-State Area (YLAA–TSA)
Yale Latino Alumni Association of the Tri-State Area (YLAA-TSA) serves as an organization supporting the diverse communities of Latinos joined by their connections to Yale University who are residing in or otherwise affiliated with the Tri-State Area. Reflecting the interests and needs of Latinos from different national origins and Yale schools, YLAA-TSA functions as a link to and advocate with both the National Yale Latino Alumni Association (YLAA) and the University. To facilitate a continued bond among all Yale Latinos in the Tri-State Area, YLAA-TSA provides a flexible structure that both respects and encourages the shared interests of its membership.
YLAA-TSA hopes to leverage the skills, opportunities, and resources we have available to us as Yale Graduates to help Yale achieve its broader social impact. To this end, YLAA-TSA along with the National YLAA and its affiliates are actively involved in: creating networking opportunities for alumni, mentoring and supporting current Latino students, advocating for progress at Yale in areas such as Latino recruitment and diversity of faculty and curriculum, and maintaining consistent, continued collaboration and communication with the University.
