While most fellowships specifically for Yale students are found on the Student Grants Database, a few are not. The fellowships listed below are not funded by Yale University; however, only Yale students are eligible to apply.
Chase Coggins Memorial Fund
The purpose of the Fund is to perpetuate Chase’s ideals and his influence on the Yale community by assisting Yale undergraduates in 1) wilderness exploration with philosophical, artistic or scientific intent, and 2) traveling to rural areas or developing countries to document and study those regions from a variety of perspectives (including natural or cultural history, health, anthropology, linguistics).
Michael Manzella Foundation Summer Fellowship
The Michael Manzella Foundation Summer Fellowship program honors Michael’s legacy through its support of cancer/medical research, children’s causes, cancer research, and the arts. Each year since 1996, these fellowships have been awarded to help Yale University undergraduate and graduate students fulfill summer projects that have long-reaching and beneficial effects for both the students and the community.
The William and Miriam Horowitz and the David and Iris Fischer Judaica Project Funds
(Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale)
The Horowitz and Fischer Funds support projects by Yale students that will increase understanding of Jewish history, culture, or religious thought in a demonstrable way. The scope of proposals to be considered is wide. A project could involve art, film, music, travel, study, theater, reading, or writing¬—so long as it is consistent with the Funds’ stated purpose. All students enrolled at Yale (graduate and undergraduate) are eligible to apply.
