Eligibility
Yale is invited to nominate two candidates to the national competition. The Churchill Foundation currently offers fourteen scholarships each year. Eligible Yale applicants must be US citizens currently enrolled at the University or recent alumni of Yale College, and must hold a bachelor's degree and be under twenty-six years of age by October 1 of the academic year in which they would take up the award. Applicants may not have attained a doctorate.
Selection Criteria
Selection is based on academic achievement, scores on the GRE or MCAT, demonstrated concern for critical problems of society, capacity for original and creative work, character, adaptability, and demonstrated leadership. Financial need is not a criterion for selection. Applicants must first apply directly to Cambridge by the mid-October deadline for new US applicants; their Cambridge application must specify Churchill College as their first choice of college. Applicants should also take the GRE General Test at the date that will assure receipt of the scores at the Foundation by November 30th.
Make an Appointment
Interested applicants should schedule an appointment with Kate Dailinger, Associate Director for UK and Irish Fellowships, 203-432-8685. No appointments made through email.
