Celebrations was commissioned of John Zdechlik by Earl C. Benson, conductor of the Medalist Band of Bloomington, Illinois, to commemorate the ensemble's twentieth anniversary. This spirited composition consists of two themes. The first theme is set in quick legato passages presented by the woodwinds.
