The second session of the Yale University African American Affinity (YAAA) Speaker Series, held on October 23rd 2008, featured William F. Readdy, former NASA space shuttle commander and astronaut, and University Chief Financial Officer Gwendolyn Sykes in an informal “armchair chat”. The presentation, “Managing through Transformation,” focused on teamwork, leadership and meeting challenges during times of transition. The event drew a diverse crowd of 125 Yale community members. A special “thank you” goes out to Susan Visken–Diaz, LaShanda Williams, Tracy Edwards, Tiffany Williams and James Muhammad for their assistance.
