Media Consultant; Columnist, The Sunday Guardian After seven years as a senior editor at The Daily Star, Bangladesh’s paper of record, and four years as editor of Forum, a monthly magazine focusing on politics and economics that is a must-read for those looking for in-depth analysis of national issues in Bangladesh, Sobhan is now a consultant working to help transform the Bangladeshi media landscape by directing the reorganization and relaunch of The Independent, Dhaka Courier, and The Financial Express, and the launch of Shokaler Khabor, among other media clients. Considered an outstanding social and political commentator of his generation, Sobhan continues to write a weekly opinion column for The Sunday Guardian, and is Bangladesh's first columnist to be syndicated outside the country.
