Yale Quilters Warm Veterans' Hearts

| Eight years into their creative stitching for others, the Art Place Quilters at Yale are still a mighty band with continued support from Facilities, Yale School of Medicine. Above (left to right) Sharon Croteau, Barbara Tracy, Lorraine F. Roseman, Jean LaCamera, Sue Turbert, and Kim Roberts stand with their latest project—more than 25 lap quilts for local veterans (including those who fought in the Iraq war) who come to the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven for treatments such as dialysis or chemotherapy. The group's other quilts can be viewed all across the YSM campus. Quilters missing from the above picture are: Janice Baker, Barbara Judisch, and Lauretta Grau. |
