Orbitz Travel Tool ImprovesAs of September 20, Yale travelers have access to an enhanced Orbitz Business booking software which offers several new functions such as the ability to book trips on Southwest Airlines. Southwest now joins Jet Blue and other major carriers on the Orbitz for Business site, giving Yale travelers a wide range of options when booking flights. The upgraded tool will also help those traveling on federal grants comply with the Fly America Act, and will include features to save favorite trip details for future use in a "Trip Template." "The new Orbitz features respond to the requests of many in the Yale community for greater ease of use and a more intuitive way to ensure compliance on grant travel," said Janet Lindner, associate vice president for Administration. "We're especially pleased that travelers using Orbitz for Business will now also have access to low-cost airline Southwest along with Jet Blue." "Orbitz for Business was able to significantly upgrade the product with little changes to the look and feel of the site," added Bob Zartarian, director, Travel Services. "We continue to see huge growth in use of the tool throughout the community," said Zartarian. "With these added features we encourage even more travelers to try Orbitz for Business and make it their first choice for travel reservations."
