Yale Mens Water Polo

Prospective Player Information

The Yale Men's Club Water Polo Team accepts players of all skill level and experience. There are no cuts or tryouts.

We compete in the New England Division of the Collegiate Water Polo Association, playing teams such as Williams, Wesleyan, Amherst, and Coast Guard Academy.

Our season runs from September throughout the beginning of November. During the season we practice from 8-10pm in the Exhibition Pool in Payne Whitney Gym. During the off seasons, there are no official practices, but we try to hold an intra-squad scrimmage every Saturday from 3-5pm in the Exhibition Pool.

Every year the team organizes pre-season training. The training begins around August 15th and lasts approximately 2 weeks. Matriculating freshman are encouraged to attend pre-season training since it is a great way to meet the team and get in shape before school starts.

Because Yale Water Polo is a club sport we do not offer athletic scholarships and have no influence whatsoever in the admissions process. However, to find out more about Yale's financial aid program please visit the Yale Office of Undergraduate Admissions Website.
