Over three hundred Yalies have participated in Bulldogs AcrossAmerica, and their experiences are well documented on the various cities' websites. The Bulldogs programs are independently sponsored by local alumni, but are joined in a cooperative network headed by Rowan Claypool, Founder of the original program in Louisville, Bulldogs in the Bluegrass. For more program information visit the individual sites listed below or go to www.bulldogsacrossamerica.com. View last year's internships and more in the UCS searchable internship database.

Application dates: Rolling, spring 2009

Bulldogs by the Bay
Having launched an 8-internship program in 2005 in San Francisco, CA, Bulldogs by the Bay has grown in size to more than 20 positions, offering a diverse array of employment opportunities and fun activities in the Bay Area. Because of the region's size and wide range of opportunities, BBB is structured somewhat differently in that the compensation varies based on the employer, and housing is the responsibility of the Bulldog. However, discounted housing is available on the Berkeley campus. Bulldogs are supported by weekly high-content alumni events and fun exploration trips led by alumni on the weekends. www.bulldogsbythebay.com

Bulldogs on the Cuyahoga
Bulldogs on the Cuyahoga began in Cleveland, OH, in 2003. The success of the Bulldogs program led to an expansion which now includes participants from Case, Colgate, Cornell, Princeton and Smith, in addition to Yale. As many as 80 students from all of these schools will participate in this multi-institutional program, with housing in a Case dorm provided free of charge. The program offers a strong slate of nonprofit and for-profit opportunities with a minimum compensation of $3,200.
