Are information sessions for prospective students held at the Visitor Center or at the Admissions office?
All information sessions are held at the Undergraduate Admissions office on 38 Hillhouse Ave. For times of the information sessions, please visit the Admissions website.

Is the Visitor Center open on Holidays?
The Visitor Center is closed Thanksgiving Day and from December 23 through January 1. It reopens on January 2. There will be no tour on Harvard-Yale Game Day.

How long does the tour take?
The Yale campus tour takes about an hour and a quarter. There is a 15-minute video shown in advance of each tour.

Do I need to register in advance of the tour?
There is no need to give us advance notice that you will be taking the tour unless you are a group larger than 10 people. Groups of 10 or more should call to reserve a special tour. Please call (203) 432-2300 two weeks in advance of your visit.

What time are the campus tours?
Tours from the Visitor Center are:
Monday - Friday, 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 1:30 p.m.

Visitor Center tours leave from 149 Elm Street. At some times of the year the Yale Undergraduate Admissions office also runs campus tours for prospective students. Their tours are specifically designed for prospective students and are given in conjunction with an information session. Please visit the admissions website for additional information.

Can groups arrange for campus tours?
Yes. The Visitor Center welcomes special group tours. Groups larger than 10 people visiting the campus must arrange to have a tour specifically suited to their group's interest and time schedule. There is a charge of $40 per guide and one guide is appropriate for 25 people.
