UNDERGRADUATE TEACHER POSITIONS
Spend
the summer in New Haven teaching!
NOW RECRUITING TEACHERS FOR SUMMER 2008!

o
Develop,
plan and teach three classes each day to motivated New Haven middle school
students. Class size is 8 to15
students. In the afternoons, lead
and participate in activities and field trips. Teachers teach two sections of either an Investigations
Class (Math and Science focus) or a Humanities Class (Reading and Writing
focus) and then one elective class of their choice and design.
o
Attend
all teacher training sessions.
o
Build
relationships with students and families.
o
Participate
in weekly staff meetings.
o
Write
mid-term and final progress reports for each student.
o
Complete
a formal program assessment.
All Yale
undergraduates are invited to apply.
New teachers are
paid $3300 for 7 weeks of full-time work.
The summer
program runs from June 22, 2008 – August 8, 2008.
Work-study
students are especially encouraged to apply.
